Chiba University Japan Program at Chiba (J-PAC) is offered to undergraduate students who are interested in studying Japanese language and culture for Fall and Spring Semester.
Through a wide range of Japan centered liberal arts courses, the program aims to develop critical thinking, global insight, and cross-cultural problem-solving skills.
General Requirements
- Be at least second-year student at the time of application.
- Have studied Japanese language for at least 50 hours at the time of application.
- Have sufficient English proficiency to take classes offered in English, equivalent to CEFR B2, TOEFL iBT 72 or IELTS 5.5 or over.
- Have sufficient Japanese proficiency to take classes offered in Japanese, equivalent to passing JLPT N2 or CEFR B2 or over.

Fall 2026
- Applications Deadline: 03 February 2026
- Program Dates: October to February 2027
Spring 2027
- Applications Deadline: 17 August 2026
- Program Dates: April to August 2027
(Application through International Office FEB Undip is mandatory)
